Rhythms of the World Drumming Workshop: During the show every child gets to play a drum & experience rhythms from Asia, Africa, the Middle East and the Pacific. The show demonstrates the language of music and its ability to unite people regardless of race, religion or age.
African Drumming Workshop: The original African Drumming show with all its irresistible colour, rhythm and dancing. With African musicians sharing their music & unique cultural perspective the show also includes every child having a turn on the drums. High on energy & excitement!
Arabic Drumming Workshop: An exciting experience highlighting the rhythms of Egypt, Lebanon & the Middle East. During the show every child has the opportunity to play one of our Arabic drums (tabla/tableh, doumbeks, darbukas)
Recycled Junk Instruments Workshops: The Junk Beats programs includes an instrument making workshop from recycled materials (that the students get to keep) and or a workshop where the students learn a junk percussion/drumming piece of music.
Capoeira Workshop: Capoeira is based on continuous, rhythmic movements that increase strength, endurance, balance, flexibility and coordination. Running, jumping and cartwheels come naturally to children and are essential parts of Capoeira’s movement.
Bollywood Dance Workshop: Our Bollywood dance incursions are lively & engaging sessions tailored to the levels of the children involved. With catchy music & popular dance moves that have been taken up by the likes of Shakira & Madonna the sessions are an ideal way to inspire your children & keep them active.
Polynesian Dance Workshop: Aloha! Welcome to the colourful & engaging dances of the Pacific. Our Polynesian incursions draw on the friendly welcoming cultures of Hawaii, Tahiti, The Cook Islands, Samoa, Tonga and New Zealand with an array of traditional dances like the Hula and Fa'ataupati from Tonga.
Mongolian Throat Singing Workshop: Bukhu embodies the spirit of reinterpreted narratives through verse. Transmitting the harmony of Mongolian nomadic and Shamanic culture through time and space with an enchanting mix of folk traditions, contemporary influences
